Mrs.Sindhu Shreeharsha
Mrs. Madhu Doshi
One of the rising vocalists of the younger
generations, she is blessed with the rare qualities of immense virtuosity, innovative vision and lyrical spirituality.
Madhu earlier known as Madhuvanti is endowed with an original, melodious and extremely rich voice. Together with the tremendous blessings of Shri Aadishakti, she succeeds in reinforcing the intrinsic link between the lived life, nature and the divine through her singing.
Born in Nashik and encouraged to learn music from her very childhood, the artist initially trained for more than a decade under Dr. V. Bokil. Also a disciple of Vidushi Dr. Prabha Atre, Madhu has a mature command over the finer nuance of classical and semi classical/light vocalism.
Madhu’s wide repertoire of ragas and compositions is also supplemented by the rendition of traditional songs and captures the folklore and ethnic flavor of the Marathi region while the ‘sagun-nirgun’ bhajans of various saint poets rendered in her inimitable style provide an ascetic essence to her music.
The full melodic range and versatility of the voice provides a silhouette but is never allowed to dominate the rendition by slipping into vocal acrobats.
Madhu, presently works for an international school in the lap of the Great Himalayas in Himachal Pradesh, teaching international students the unique and scintillating blend of various ragas in Hindustani Classical Music and its connection with the divine.
She has also conducted various workshops and presented papers at Music seminars in India and abroad. With her powerful and soothing singing styles she captures the myriad hues colors, moods and attention of her listeners.
